This page describes how Kinta Terang operates — from the system architecture we supply and support, to the laboratory standards we hold ourselves to, and the engagement process from initial enquiry through to post-deployment maintenance.

Kinta Terang operates an independent in-house accuracy testing laboratory — verifying every batch against traceable standards before delivery.
Our in-house laboratory operates to ISO/IEC 17025 — the international standard for testing and calibration laboratory competence. Meter verification results are technically valid and consistent with regulatory requirements for revenue metering in Malaysia.

One team manages every stage — from initial scope assessment through to post-deployment hardware and software support.
We begin with a detailed assessment of your site — property type, scale, existing infrastructure, communication environment, and budget constraints. Technology and product recommendations are based on site-fit criteria, not inventory preference.
All hardware is sourced from authorised principal stock. Electricity meters are tested in our ISO 17025-compliant in-house laboratory before dispatch. Gateways and MIUs are pre-configured and verified at our facility in Shah Alam prior to delivery.
We manage the technical setup — gateway network configuration, device registration, cloud platform onboarding, and system integration with existing BMS or billing infrastructure. Data flow is validated from endpoint to dashboard before formal handover.
Post-handover support covers both hardware and software — firmware updates, replacement units dispatched from local stock, cloud platform assistance, and scheduled recalibration. The same team that configured the system handles ongoing support.

We carry products across all four system layers: the meter, the interface unit or bridge, the LoRaWAN gateway, and the cloud platform. One supplier, one point of contact — no fragmented vendor relationships or unresolved issues between system layers.
All post-deployment support is managed directly by the same technical team that supplied and configured the system, based in Shah Alam, Selangor.
